Budgeting shouldn't feel like treading water. We built OtterSlide to make it easier for every small-business owner to see where they stand and plan what's next.
Our founders have over 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, and content optimization from startups to Fortune 500 companies. We know the pain of running a small business and wanted to create a tool to make budgeting easy for every business owner.
The bookkeeping isn't the hard part. The hard part is turning it into a decision: can we hire, can we buy the equipment, can we wait on that invoice. That gap between "the numbers exist" and "I understand what they mean today" is what OtterSlide was built to close.
Why an otter
Otters hold hands while they sleep so they don't drift apart in the current. It's a small habit that solves a real problem — staying anchored without having to work at it constantly. That's the feeling we wanted OtterSlide to give a business owner opening their budget: anchored, not adrift.
Where we are now
OtterSlide connects directly to QuickBooks Online and builds your budget inside Google Sheets. It's installed from Google Workspace Marketplace, so it lives in the Google account you already use, with no separate app to remember to check.

Calm over clever
If a feature adds anxiety instead of removing it, we don't ship it — no matter how impressive it looks in a demo.
Your data stays yours
OtterSlide only reads your QuickBooks transactions. The only thing it ever writes to QuickBooks is a P&L budget, and only when you ask it to. Your budget lives in your own Google Sheet.
Built around real routines
Closing the month shouldn't mean starting over. Move a date, sync, and update: your new actuals drop in and the budget months you've edited stay put.
